A visit to Guyra Shire is enough to convince you that “this place is one of Australia’s best-kept secrets” It’s like a New Zealand Holiday – only better with four distinct seasons and amiable temperature range.

The landscape is captivating with a different view around every corner and over every hill and some of the most exciting high altitude wetlands and Trout Fishing in Australia. A word of warning though – many people who have come here for a visit have come back – permanently – so be ready for a potential life-changing experience. So when visiting Guyra you must see;

  • Guyra Shire’s diverse landscape – from the Ebor in the East to historic Tingha in the west.
  • Top of the range Tomatoes – a 10ha Glasshouse of Truss Tomatoes for the Australian Market – a breathtaking view from the outside.
  • Little Llangothlin Lagoon and Mother of Ducks Lagoon – Birdwatchers Paradise.

Guyra was developed at part of the extension of the railway in 1880, although pastoralists had been in the area since 1830.
